The aim with this series of workshops is to introduce fundamental aspects of doing bodywork. I will not introduce a lot of massage techniques, but rather try to create the conditions for you to be intimate with yourself and the person you are working with. We will practice deeply sensing into our own bodies and the body of the person we are working with to try to answer the questions “what does this body need” and “how can I be of service”. Some elements could be:
– How to be really curious about the other.
– How to be playful and exploratory.
– How to use your intuition.
– How to not get in your own way.
– How to trust your embodied knowing.
Each event will have a different focus where you will be led through a series of exercises meant to inspire the way you approach giving (and maybe receiving) touch.
We will work on the floor and fully clothed during the workshop. If you want to you can bring a partner. Otherwise I will pair you up during the workshop.
This is an introduction event. Introduction events are meant as an offer to people who wants a slow and safe way of entering a new practice. At these events our facilitators take extra care to guide you.
Bodywork with Peter has elicited intense emotional and psychological responses from me. I was able to surrender to my body’s powerfuI responses because Peter himself brings such a grounded, non-judgmental, and technically skilled presence…Peter strikes an excellent intuitive balance in verbal communication – I always feel that I can share or ask for feedback but I don’t feel pressured to do so. I can feel my body and interior world evolving, adjusting, and opening for weeks after our sessions. I highly recommend Peter’s bodywork if you want to work with trauma in your body in a safe and supported environment or simply investigate your relationship between your emotional self, mind, and body.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
I have been working with embodied sensitivity through practicing taiji and qigong for around 15 years, but it has first been in the last 5 that I have really started to enjoy bodywork. I have completed the Manuvision body therapy education in 2020 and I feel passionate about doing workshops on how to connect through and with the body.
