What is consciousness?
Feel like chilling on a Tuesday? While still doing something meaningful? What about joining the screening of the amazing documentary, “…When you look away” by Phie Ambo. The movie debates, what consciousness is, and after the movie, we will contemplate on, what consciousness is for us.
ABOUT THE MOVIE (description taken from The Danish Film Institute)
The documentary examines the subject of consciousness in terms of quantum physics in close collaboration with scientists at the Niels Bohr Institute. The film’s narrative form gives the audience the opportunity to follow a process where the results are not presented beforehand, and it raises a series of basic scientific questions such as: What if basic causal relationships in the world do not work like we think they do? Should we understand the relationship between our consciousness and the physical world in a whole new way? What is happening at the science frontier, where accepted truths and wild theories collide? Could a new way of understanding our human consciousness come from an entirely unexpected place?

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE MOVIE
After the movie, we’ll have a common reflection on the movie and on our own experiences of, what consciousness is. We’ll do it in the structured format of “Samtalesalon”, where you will be guided around in conversations with the other participants, two by two or in smaller groups. This is a fun way of socialising, where you get the chance of expanding your consciousness in conversations with others 🙂
IS THIS SOMETHING FOR YOU?
This could be something for you, if you are interested in matters around consciousness, and if you like talking with other people and eating popcorn (the price includes popcorn and tea :). The hippies say that the world is changing now. We are entering the age of aquarius, and “we’d better wake up”. So here is your chance on broadening your perspective on a very central topic: Who is perceiving all this? Where is your consciousness? And is it yours?
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Sarah Warny Berg is educated as an anthropologist and has a long term interrest in what consciousness is. She has explored this topic both by research, on how different tripes and folklore have experienced consciousness throughout time, and also she has done several “personal studies” on her own.
